Thank you for renting with Rent Like a Champion (RLAC)! We are very excited to have you stay at one of our fantastic properties, and we hope that you are, too. We wanted to provide you with some basic information about the rental process, as well as answer some questions you may have regarding administrative details.
Default check-in and check-out times are 5:00 pm on the day of arrival and 12:00 pm on the day of departure. Unless you and the homeowner have agreed to an alternate arrangement, please abide by these times.
When you arrive at the home, the keys will be waiting for you in a lockbox. During your rental, securely store the keys in the lockbox when you leave and check out. There is a $40 per key fee to replace lost keys. You will need a four digit code to open the lockbox. This code will be provided to you once we have successfully placed the security deposit hold on your credit card, approximately 3-5 days prior to the rental. The security deposit hold will be released 72 hours after the rental has ended, provided there is no damage to the property.
When you enter the home, take a moment to make a note of electronics, wall hangings, and other possibly fragile items. Although accidents are rare, they do occur occasionally. If so, notify the homeowner immediately and the RLAC Team if necessary.
Homeowners will make space for you and your guests, but remember that it is still their home. Please be respectful of their belongings and any specific instructions they may have mentioned to you. Additionally, homeowners will not be expecting to return and find their home to be immaculate, but it would be a courteous gesture to empty all the trash before you leave, to load the dishwasher with any dishes you used, and to return any furniture you may have moved to its original position. If necessary, please provide a light cleaning of the house before checking out.
While we want you to feel at home in your rental and treat it as your own, we ask that you abide by the maximum accommodation the homeowner designated. If you would like to host guests past the maximum accommodation limit, please ask the homeowner directly, and respect their decision if they are not comfortable with your request.
We’re excited for you to take your trip! In the event you have to cancel, we want to let you know we have a fairly strict cancellation policy. If a contract is terminated at least 60 days in advance of the rental date, you are eligible to receive a 50% refund. Reservations cancelled within 60 days of the rental date are non-refundable. The 3% credit card fee cannot be refunded, since the company cannot recover that cost.
